What is Network+ 
The Network+ certification is sponsored by CompTia which is the Computing Technology Industry Association. Network+ (Network Plus) is a mid-level certification for network technicians. This certification is designed to test the competency of a mid-level network technician in supporting and configuring TCP/IP clients in terms of network design, cabling, hardware setup, configuration, installation, support, and troubleshooting.



Prerequisite-Individuals wanting to take this course should have  knowledge of: 

* Introduction to Windows

* Managing Windows


Why Should I take this course? 

This course is designed to prepare student for the CompTIA Network+ exam as well as with the skills to be a profecient computer network administrator. Acheiving a CompTIA Network+ certification is the perfect entry point into a conputer network administration career. The Network+ certification validates the ability of a networking technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support a network, as well as understanding various aspects of networking technologies, including TCP/IP and the OSI model. It also validates the knowledge of network components and where they function in association with the OSI model, network cabling, network security, and network troubleshooting. 


COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides students with the knowledge of media and topologies, protocols, standards, network implementation and network support.  It also introduces the student to WAN and Wireless technologies and services, as well as managing, monitoring and troubleshooting networks. Network security is also reviewed. This course prepares students for the 2009 CompTIA Network+ certification exam.
